You’ll find this cute Italian trattoria a few blocks south of Forsyth Park in the bustling Starland District along a strip of fun shops and restaurants that includes the noteworthy Bull Street Tacos.  It’s one of those neighborhood favorites that people “in the know” love to have as their own little secret, one they’ll share with you but grudgingly because they worry you’ll get one of the coveted tables instead of them.

It’s a small, storefront space and it can get very busy especially on weekends, so be prepared to wait or maybe consider doing takeout instead.

They have lots of authentic pastas – from linguine with clams to spaghetti and meatballs and everything in between – plus a handful of pizzas (margherita, meat lovers, etc.). Just because you don’t see a “make your own” pizza option on the menu doesn’t mean they won’t do it, so feel free to ask.

Everything here feels like the real deal – authentic Italian cuisine without a great deal of pretention and fuss.  The fact that it’s all affordable is like a bonus and could turn this into one of your best kept secrets.
