Graveface Museum

Review
Savannah is the perfect place for this museum, a collection of oddities and exhibits on everything from circus sideshows to serial killers with stops at cults, “freaks,” and extraterrestrial sightings along the way.
The brainchild of Ryan Graveface, the museum was started when his collection of this kind of arcanery started overflowing his record shop in the Starland District. Enter through the gift shop (where you can buy voodoo dolls, tarot cards, crystals, t-shirts, and records) and you’ll find a series of rooms stuffed with all sorts of offbeat ephemera.
There is a section on sideshow (aka freakshow) acts like the bearded lady and three legged man; another details UFO sightings and conspiracies; an entire room has information on serial killers including a huge collection of clown art from the notorious John Wayne Gacey; and more. It’s all either vaguely or explicitly creepy and if you are easily spooked by things like shrunken heads or letters from cult leaders, you can spend all your time in the pinball arcade trying to best the scores of people wh preceded you playing the horror-movie themed machines.
Finding the place can be a bit difficult. Google maps will point you at River Street, but it’s actually located on Lower Factors Walk, which is the alley between River Street and Bay Street. If you head up or down the Lincoln Street Ramp between Bay and River, you’ll take the alley heading East and you’ll find near the Old Harbour Inn.
