Forsyth Park & Fountain
Savannah Museums > Forsyth Park & Fountain
Review
This 30 acre park in the heart of the Historic and Victorian districts is a major draw for tourists and locals alike.
At the north end you’ll find the oft-photographed Forsyth Fountain, gorgeous day or night and fun at holidays – they dye the water green for the St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.
At the sound end of the park you’ll find tennis courts and other recreation, plus a farmer’s market on Saturday mornings.
In between are monuments (a couple related to the Civil War, so you have been warned), a cafe, a stage for outdoor concerts, gardens, and lots of green space where you’ll find people exercising, picnicking, or just relaxing.
