Sometimes all you really need is a good deli sandwich, and if that’s what you’re in the mood for you don’t have a lot of options in the Historic District.
Luckly, Anita Deli is there for you.
They have a wide ranging menu of everything bagel to bun, from familiar to almost familiar. The grilled cheese is hearty and satisfying; the Roy Rogers with roast beef and caramelized onions is a treat; the Southern Gobbler is a club on steroids with half a pound of turkey and a quarter pound of bacon to knock things up a notch.
Fair prices and a friendly staff make this a good option for lunch, but the simple digs lend themselves to getting things to-go. Enjoy a schmear in a park!
