Proving that French food doesn’t have to be intimidating is not an easy task, but this cute bistro is up to the challenge. Yes, everything has Gallic influenced names – soupe a l’oignion gratinee – but get past that and you’ll have a delicious, very traditional onion soup not unlike the one you’ll find at your favorite steakhouse.
You can go full “Ooo La La” with escargot and Cassoulet Maison (sausage, white bean, and duck casserole); you can be somewhat international with foie gras and loup de mer (pan dressed sea bass); or you can play it safe with the onion soup, steak, or a pork chop that just have French names. Regardless of your choice, the quality and preparation is noteworthy.
This is a fine-dining experience at prices that, while high for Savannah (most main dishes are right around the $30 mark), don’t feel exorbitant for the quantity and quality of the food you get.
