The battle for best BBQ in Savannah is a fierce one and while there are places that I think do it better ( Sandfly and Smokehouse to name two), the ‘que here is mighty darned tasty.

The outdoor bar/restaurant is right along the river, which is both cool and hot if it’s during the summer, but the simplicity allows you to focus on things like the “Boss Hog,” a massive baked potato stuffed with BBQ pork, crispy onions, sour cream, and BBQ sauce.

You can also get platters and sandwiches of their meats including brisket, chicken, ribs, and a very good sausage. It’s not cheap but you can taste the slow-cooked goodness.

Note that at twin restaurant next door specializes in seafood but they have separate menus.
