Review

Done by the same folks who run Circa 1875 in the Historic District, this upscale Italian eatery feels like a special occasion place but really doesn’t need to be.

It’s set in a gorgeously restored mansion that features multiple indoor and outdoor dining areas, a wine cellar, a bar, and even a chapel. If the weather is cooperating, try to snag a table on their dining patio out back.  It’s quite lovely.

The menu is rustic Italian with mussels and calamari featured as starters; a handful of pastas like lasagna, pappardelle alla vodka, and a fantastic, zesty rigatoni bolognese; and some heartier entrees including linguini and clams, filet mignon, and veal scallopini.

Don’t miss the extensive wine list and save room for delectable desserts.
