Review

If you only come here for the atmosphere, no one will blame you.  Located in the former municipal water and power building, the space has been lovingly restored to its 1960s glory with gorgeous tile work, comfy banquettes, and lots of midcentury modern flair.

But treat your taste buds along with your eyes by diving into the diverse and very satisfying menu.

All-day brunch ranges from in-house baked cinnamon rolls and French toast to mortadella or crispy chicken sandwiches.  It’s a great, albiet pricey, place for a late morning nosh.

Dinner is where they shine, though, with an eclectic foodie menu.  Who would think to mix hashbrows and caviar?  They did. They’re also big on the oyster tower type pre-gaming if that’s your cup of seafood.

It’s tempting to just order a mini-feast with the small plates – stuff peppers, Persian cucumbers, flat bread, croquettes, or lamb and fennel sausage are options.  But pay attention to the mains like the steak frites, grilled half chicken, and especially the signature burger.  The yolk jam makes it worth the price of admission.

If you’re used to big city prices, this will seem like a bargain but it’s on the expensive side for Savannah.  Well worth it, we say.
