The DeSoto is a nice, but bland building in the middle of the Historic District, but don’t let that turn you off from the fantastic in-house restaurant on the main floor.
The menu is southern influenced, with shareables like fried green tomatoes and bourbon BBQ wings and entrees that range from sandwiches (a brisket melt with gouda and peppercorn aioli or a fried chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese) to steak or lobster and grits.
That chicken sandwich is phenomenal as is their signature burger.
The only complaint here is that they seem to be perpetually short on staff, so give yourself some extra time to get served. The freshly unique flavor combinations and affordable prices make it worth it.
