Review

Taking over the space formerly occupied by the much-lauded Atlantic seafood restaurant, Ardsley Station has a more wide-ranging menu even if there aren’t all that many choices on it.

The space is gorgeous, with an airy, sun-dappled dining room and an expansive outdoor patio that somehow manages to feel charming despite the busy Victory Drive traffic nearby. If the weather is cooperating, this is a great place for a relaxing al fresco meal.

Start with one of their craft cocktails, done with special care and fine ingredients. Then move on to the main menu, which doesn’t really have an easily identifiable category to put it in other than foodie favorites perhaps.

A handful of small plates include items like pork belly with pickled peaches, carrot toast with ginger and roasted garlic, a cheese plate and so on. You can make a meal out of the separate fresh pasta in a red sauce and meatballs and ricotta options that will leave you very satisfied indeed.

There are a couple of salads if you are feeling the need for greens. Main dishes are limited to a steak, a seafood option, a burger, and a vegetarian friendly “farmers plate.” Expect the menu to grow over time as they get their footing.

Prices are not exactly cheap, but lower than what you would probably pay for food of this caliber in the Historic District. Figure $50 per person once you add in a drink.

A welcome addition to the neighborhood.
